I have never worn Birkenstocks and never cared to UNTIL NOW with the new Madrid. Even my 18 year old daughter likes them and she frowns upon many of my things.I have always known they were of great quality, but the style is not me. Due to foot surgery I was forced to get a really good sandal. I checked Birkenstock hesitantly and then saw the Red Madrid Birko-Flor in Elle magazine. I was sold. They are precious and sooo comfortable!!! I bought another as a gift and will buy more for myself in another color.I still can't believe I'm wearing Birkenstocks and actually excited about them, but I am. Perfect for the beach and walking downtown in our hot and humid weather.

Excellent casual sandal with synthetic top. I have 8 different pairs / colors to use according to my needs. They always feel comfortable.

I purchased this sandals and it came in sizes too big. My size is a 5 1/2 in women and I purchased a 35 (the smallest it came on the size chart) Still was too big. I set up a return, which was simple and easy. Sent back the sandals with the confirmation label and all the directions included. I've waited about a week and emailed with the site customer service, because communications was through the site. They said they haven't received the item. I called the Postal service that same day and they confirmed the item was received. Called back the site CS and sent them email with receipt showing them item was received. This vendor NEVER refunded me my funds. the site just gave me back a little less what I purchased item for. I do NOT recommend purchasing from this vendor. With that said, please read the sellers profile before you purchased from them. Happy shopping! :)
