This is a lovely dress that comes off as very modest on me (petite, 5'1", 32-24-33) and would probably be one of those nice "skims over flaws" dresses on someone with a larger figure. It's super comfortable and very office appropriate, so I'm definitely keeping it, though I'll replace its tie belt with a wider belt to add more structure to the dress, and I might hem the length a couple inches higher.NB it has an elastic waist that, while not tight, might irritate my skin on more sensitive days (I have fibromyalgia).

Yes, as others have reported, this dress runs large. I got a size smaller than what I usually would, in black, and it's just right. But because of the fabric's considerable amount of body, and the draping in front, the style *will* still add bulk.If you have a mildly curved figure like the model's, this might be a plus, adding some hourglassy padding right where you want it. For the stacked and already graying among us, though, the effect can be just a hair away from Old-World Matriarch Presiding Over a Family Event. Which could also be exactly what you're looking for . . . ? Within that genre, I suppose, it's rather a hot little number.Conclusion: I'm keeping it, but I feel it needs to be accessorized carefully to make it look "cocktail" rather than "mafia funeral."

You have to be thin to make the dress work. Any extra weight (size 8)and it isn't terribly flattering. I thought the asymmetrical neck and belt would help distract, but I agree with the previous reviewer-frumpy and matronly.
