I ordered and returned several pairs of sandals in my search for the perfect sandal this year. My 8 year old daughter has a bit of a narrow foot but is not quite narrow enough to need narrow sizes so she really needs an adjustable sandal that we can tighten to fit her. This sandal adjusts in both the front and back. Also, she is between sizes and most sandals only run in whole sizes. She was at the very end of her size 2's and the 3's were huge on her. The 2 1/2's in the Stride Rite Laverne's were a perfect fit. Also, unlike most of the styles I have seen this year for kids with feet sized 2 and up, they are made for little girls to run and play in. The footbed is padded and flexible and the bottom has sneakerlike tread for traction. And of course, they are adorable. Even cuter on her feet than in the picture.

These are quite nice, well made and darling on. My little one is 8 and these have become her new favorite shoe. She says they're soft inside and feel goo on her feet. She's a complainer when it comes to shoes, so her saying these are comfy and feel good is really saying something. I love that they can be adjusted at both strap and toe to accommodate a slimmer/wider foot. Her foot is very narrow and we have trouble finding sandals that don't slip and rub. She can adjust these to her own comfort, so they're perfect. The color is very pretty. It's almost a pearlized appearance, but not flashy or trashy. I will be ordering these again when she needs a new pair!
