This dress is an ivory color and flowly type material. I'm 5'3" 1/2 and this was the perfect length for me. Even in flats, which is what I wore it with it reached right to my ankle. You don't need a slip for it as long as you wear flesh or ivory colored panties. The top part is slightly more sheer but I didn't mind. I wore a backless, strapless plunge bra with it. I ordered that from the site as well for a lot less than buying it at Victoria Secret.For more modest gals you would probably want to wear a body by Victoria type of garment underneath as there is a small slit where the neckline plunges. I thought it looked great, but some may think its too low. It's a very narrow slit however.It's 100% polyesterIt arrived on time and clean.

This dress is more of a cream color - on the dark side. The material is not the best and the bottom part of the dress if a little puffy making it appear you are wider...or at least did on me.
