Some Customer Reviews from the site forVia Spiga Diana Open Toe Gladiator Sandals Shoes Orange Womens

I purchased these slippers last January and was very pleased with them at first. They were very comfortable and warm. However, in October I noticed the stitching holding the sole on had come undone. It wasn't worn out or torn, the slippers still looked brand new. When I contacted Lamo since they are still under warranty I was advised that they would honor the warranty but I would have to pay to mail the slippers to them and then include $9.00 for return postage. I don't think I would buy from this company again as I feel this was a defect in their product and I shouldn't have to pay for shipping 3 times.

1/3/13 I am revising my original 5 star review to 1 star because after only 6 weeks of gentle use the stitching around the outer edge of the sole has popped in several places and the edges are gapping open. Not sure what to do with them now that the 30 day return is up. I'm very disappointed because I thought for the $60 I paid that they would last for a long time. I should have believed the other reviews that said the stitching didn't last..definitely expected more than 6 weeks!(Original Review I have been wearing these slippers for about a month now and they are terrific. I usually wear a size 9 l/2 shoe so ordered the size 10. They seemed a little snug at first, but after a couple of wearings the inside packed down a little and they are perfect. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. We have ceramic tile floors that can be very cold in the wintertime but these insulate your feet unlike the Dearfoams that don't last one season before the sole wears through.. My feet are toasty warm. I'm planning on enjoying these for a long time to come. Well worth the price.)3/13/13 These slippers do have a one year warranty from the manufacturer whose warehouse is near where I live. I returned the defective slippers to them in person and they offered to exchange them with their latest batch of slippers which were not anywhere near the quality of the original ones. The leather part was thinner and the sheepskin lining was only about half as dense as the original pair but the length of the stitching was shorter and possibly better. The person in charge told me that he attributed this decline in quality to the extreme drought conditions in Australia. He said that when the site depletes its current stock they would get this new product. The people were very nice and took considerable effort to find a satisfactory pair in stock. They eventually found some older stock more like my original quality slippers and told me to return them if I had any problems. I was fortunate to be able to go there in person because in a return shipping situation the end result would most likely have been unsatisfactory and costly. The customer service department was awesome but I'm still doubtful about the longevity of the product.

This is the second pair of LAMO slippers I've bought. After living in mine all winter (I wear them as booties outside, not just in the house) I ordered a pair for my 95 year old mother to keep her feet toasty. Order true to size. They may feel snug at first but the pile will compact as you wear them.
