Let me say up-front that I my motivation for buying this pair of shoes was not to use them as hiking/approach shoes. Rather, I was recovering from a cracked ankle and I wanted something that would be ultra-stable and really hold my foot in place once I was out of the walking boot cast. I have high arches and wanted a shoe that gave me both arch support and lateral control. This shoe was fantastic for that use, and allowed me walk around normally much, much faster and without pain. I have other athletic shoes, and nothing compared to this pair for stability and wobble prevention.Now that I'm recovered and the weather is cooling, I'm still wearing these shoes because they are comfortable, good-looking and very stable. If I want to go hiking this fall, I will not have to worry about my ankle bothering me, because these shoes provide superb arch support and lateral stability control. They are lightweight enough that I still wear them to the gym when I am lifting weights and using cardio equipment. They live up to their "multisport" designation, and I plan on wearing them a lot in the winter, because the tread on the bottom should be excellent for navigating around snowy surfaces.Be sure to double-check your size versus the size range for this brand before ordering -- I'm a size 8.5 U.S. and wear a size 39 in shoes like Dansko, but the sizing range for this shoe required me to order a 41 in order to get the equivalent of a size 9. I would also advise that this shoe does not run large, and I am happy I ordered the size that I did, because I want room for socks in the winter.

great product and deliver was fast.... recommend this shoes! comfortable, light weight - and with all the walking i do they are even great for that.
