Birkenstock makes Mayari sandals. They have another company, Papillio, which makes very similar sandals (Tabora). They also license their name to a third company, Betula, which makes ANOTHER similar sandal (Mia). Mayari sandals are solid color, Taboras are patterns, stripes, and muted pastels, while the Mias are bolder colors and shiny leathers.They all are comfortable, long-lasting, and well made. The Betula's are my newest purchase and they are not "Quite" as comfortable because the leather is stiffer. I think they will break in nicely...none of the others needed any breaking in.Another difference is that the Mayari's have TWO adjustable straps to the Papillio's one. I especially like the narrow, flat toe loop on all these three. I can't wear flip flops or other thong-type sandals because the post tortures me. I don't have that issue with any of these three brands/styles.Go for it...you won't regret it.

I am never disappointed in Birks & this pair is especially awesome. The color is a favorite of mine and they are so much more comfortable than flip- flops!
