This Pro Elastic ballet slipper from Bloch has the technology and comfort that you need to perform. A canvas split sole has elastic in place of binding and a drawstring to contour to your foot to reduce pressure on the achilles tendon and dorsal when it comes in contact with the floor, while a triangle stretch arch insert is there to hug your foot when pointing your toe.

The multi-function soft elastic ballet flat is ideal for floor work, evenly distributes tension around the foot while minimizing bulk in the arch when pointing. A great cross-over for jazz, lyrical, ballet and gymnastics.

If you're the type who hates the elastic drawstrings inherent on traditional ballet shoes, these are for you! The edges are rimmed with a soft ~1/2" of elastic which helps the shoe mold to your foot without any gaps. The split soles have held up better than my Bloch leather slippers, and in all I feel these are much better shoes.What keeps these from being a 5 star product? 2 things: 1) The heel. Numerous reviewers have said it, but there is simply too much fabric in the heel, and it ends up bunching. With that said, for some reason the material really doesn't interfere with your ability to dance or "feel the floor," so in all, it's just an aesthetic thing. 2) The crossed elastics. They come pre-sewn, and I'm simply the type who prefers to place and sew her own. This is an easy fix with a stitch ripper and some thread, but annoying none the less.These are definitely my favorite soft ballet shoes. I have both the flesh and the pink colors...the pink is very VERY light pink - not a bright or "typical" ballet pink, and the flesh is about the color of modern nude dance tights. Highly recommend them if you're looking for something different!

I recently started dancing and purchased these because they looked really comfortable and because they are made out of canvas I thought they would be great. I took the advice and ordered a size smaller than I normally wear, I normally wear a 7.5-8, so to be safe I just ordered a size 6 and they fit perfectly. I don't know how durable these are for people who dance a lot, but I am just taking an adult class once a week so I think they will be perfect for that.
