I normally do not buy New Born sizes because they are out grown so quickly. However this is our last grandchild and I just could not resist. I am so glad I did as this baby has has to make repeated trips back to the hospital and Pediatrician's office. She was a little over 8 pounds but immediately lost down to little over seven pounds. The gowns fit well, are of a soft high quality cotton and are perfect for her size. Bought these for my one month old and I have to say I am very happy I did. Material is very soft even after a few washes. Love that it is not too thick the baby can use it during these warm summer nights. Easy diaper changes, too. Bought the neutral colors as well!

Having to change a small child in the middle of the night is never a great thing, you're tired, it's dark, you're doing your best to minimize trauma before or after feed so that baby goes back to sleep - these are the answer.Perfect weight for California, going to be a bit lite for winter as it start getting to 50 overnight, but not a problem if you're in a colder place and have heating on anyway.They aren't huge, our baby is in 100+ percentile for height and at 3 months she fills out one of these, so if your baby is big I wouldn't recommend buying much past 3 months, for smaller babies I'm sure they'll go all the way to 6 months.
