I have to say first thing that I was surprised by how good this dress looks. The material is as you'd expect for an inexpensive costume, but it drapes really nicely. I bought this to go to a 1920's theme party. It looks exactly like the photo. I did alter the dress a little by adding a front slip (leaving the back exposed) and shortening the straps (I'm 5'3''). The material is fairly transparent, hence adding the slip. If you're going to be in a dark room, no one would notice though. I'm planning on wearing it again for Halloween. I'm impressed, especially for a $37.00 costume. I wore this with Cosplayland C577- short straight sexy BOB wig like real Hair - black Almost as much as the dress, but it's an amazing wig and it really completed the look. Add some pearls and you're ready to dance the Charleston.

I am 4'10" and normally wear a size small. I purchased this in a medium because I was afraid it would be extremely tight. It was still tight in a medium (fight to get over your chest- tight). Also it was extremely short. I had a hard time keeping one side of this dress over my bottom. (One side is longer than the other). I know that this dress is supposed to be short and tight- it's a sexy costume. But it was uncomfortably tight and way too short (I was either pulling the front up- or the back down all night). If you are taller or bigger than I am, I would suggest another dress or ordering a larger size. Also, the material is a very thin, "nylon"-type material. All in all, I enjoyed myself at the party and the dress worked for what I needed. I would never wear it again, though.

The dress came on time and looked like the picture. After reading other reviews I ordered large rather than medium and it fit well. I did add a strap in back otherwise it was too loose in front and the sleeves slipped down but the elastic strap in back worked pefectly. The dress was for a cabaret dance number and it was the perfect style. I got lots of complements on the dress and the head piece. The head piece was a little loose so I had to pin it.
