We seriously considered getting these again the next size up as our daughter's first pair was outgrown. The only reason we didn't was because winter is coming and we wanted something warmer with more protection from wetness on the top of the foot. Our kid's first real shoes (not these!) had a leather toe, which was scuffed and horrible looking in a week. These have received heavy daily use for months and still look great. The rubber toe caps are excellent! The color goes with a wide variety of outfits and the shoe is clearly a female style without being super girly. The removable liners really extended her wear. She got a 6-6.5 and wore them with one liner (they came with two) when she was 18 months old, then we removed the liner two months later and she wore them another month. She eagerly puts them on and is reluctant to remove them. That's an endorsement! There are a few cons. Our kid has relatively narrow feet, and these are on the narrow side for her. They don't fit her very well with warm socks. Sometimes the velcro sticky pad latches on to her socks and makes taking them on and off more complicated.

This shoe hardly looks worn after lots of wear. We worried the rubber toe might decrease its dress-up effect, but instead, it protects the rest of the shoe so well, that it looks new as it is becoming outgrown. The shiny material gives it plenty of dress-up appeal. The leather lining and extra insole give it lots of grow room. It runs true to size, and leaves room for toes to move. The Mary Jane style adapts well to changing foot shape as they grow as well. Our granddaughter calls them her "dancing shoes" and wears them with everything from a white party dress to jeans.

This was a great first shoe for my 13 month old. The front rubber toe holds up to crawling and the metallic color is a great neutral (online image is true to the color). I originally bought a canvas shoe, but they looked old the first time she wore them due to the crawling. These are wearing really well. This was a great buy and I would definitely buy pediped shoes again. The quality is great.
