I bought these boots to replace a pair of boots I wore to death that looked similar. I have searched for this style, color and texture for 2 years and finally found this pair. I purchased the tan ones. For me, comfort while walking all day is imperative as I travel alot. The sole is a sturdy rubber that isnt too loud on surfaces. It looks like a good ole leather sole, but its rubber which is far better for all seasons. For example, here it is raining and without fear I wore them all day and my feet are warm, and cozy but i dont feel like I will slip and fal upon entering the house. I normally wear a 8-8.5 but i went the 8.5 for fear the leather would give me blisters to break them in. This gives me just a teeny about more space for thicker tall socks in the winter. I would even to go as far to say i didnt even have to break these in.My one advice with these would be to buy a nice bees wax from the walking company or somewhere, and wax the whole boot. This will seal the leather and make it water proof. In my expierence, the color darkened a tiny bit, but then as it soaked in, it was basically normal again. Watching everyone else wear ugly wellies while the rain flys off my leather boots is worth it! Dunno about puddle jumping or snow shoeing, but these will do the trick. MORE THAN A ONE SEASON BOOT.I have sort of wide feet and bad ankles. I am so impressed by these boots. You shouldnt worry. I will plan on buying the other colors!

I ordered this in Mushroom, and I was expecting the color showed at the website: An almost oak-like color. When the arrived, they were completely different, Mushroom is almost grey, not at all what I expected. The style is great, I will be getting these in another color. Order half a size up! I'm normally a 6,5 in Vince Camuto,but I need these in 7.

I bought these boots a few weeks ago, and they are really nice looking, and very comfortable to wear for walking. I like them so much I bought a pair in each color, 3 pairs!!! I find it hard to walk for any length of time in dress shoes or boots, but I had these on all day long, walking and shopping the first time I wore them. I'm very happy with them, and would recommend them if you want to be comfortable walking or just to hang out and look fab. These boots run true to size, and are a nice length to wear under jeans or with leggings or skinny jeans.
