Okay...so my daughter is 4 and wears a size 11.5 shoe. If you have a child, you can imagine how many shoe sizes we have blown through. But faster than that, we have blown through these shoes. We have bought multiple pairs of these same 'Butterscotch' shoes, in different sizes along the way, and the shoes wear out far faster than my daughter outgrows them. The toe of the shoe is torn within 2 weeks, and it is not like we are hiking in these shoes. They are designed for toddlers, they should be far more durable than they are. As cute as these shoes are, I would recommend someone go elsewhere. Payless shoes last longer.

These shoes fit my 5 year old very well (she is a 9 1/2 regular). They can be "church shoes" for the spring and summer or regular play shoes. They have a good amount of padding and fit her foot well (which is what I expect from Stride Rite shoes). She has never complained that they pinch, are too tight, or that they rub her foot and make it sore, which she has told me about other shoes, so these are winners in my book. She's had this pair before in smaller sizes as well and they hold up well for the season and we've passed them down to my niece who also has worn them (and she can be tough on shoes) for a season.

These sandals were so well-made and comfortable that when my daughter grew out of the size 4.5, I bought her exactly the same shoe in a size 5. I am incredibly impressed with the quality, durability, and unpretentious, non-cutesy styling of these tiny shoes, and will definitely be looking to Stride Rite for future footwear purchases.
