Just got this new wallet this week and I know I'll enjoy it for years to come. For 5 years I've been using a Lodis French wallet (the smaller type that folds) and that wallet is still like new--absolutely no wear & tear, leather doesn't mar and still looks great. I just had the 'bug' and wanted to try something new, plus I needed room for more credit cards, so I ordered the Emerald green of this model with Truffle interior.The green is actually more of a teal and it's gorgeous. I don't carry a checkbook with me any more, but got this model anyway, thinking I could use the pockets intended for a checkbook to hold receipts or notes. I couldn't find any photos online to see how the checkbook section is arranged, but it does have a pocket for the checkbook and a pocket for the register. Interestingly, it also has a deep horizontal slot stitched over the top of the checkbook pocket--I guess for use if you happen to have a checkbook that opens horizontally (bound on the side vs. the top), or you can use it for extra storage.Another surprise which doesn't show up in any online photos I have seen is there is a gusseted pocket in the center of the credit card section which opens easily for bills, AND it includes a zippered compartment with another bill compartment behind it.The interior of the bill compartments are lined in a nylon fabric, but so was the bill compartment in my old smaller french wallet, and it has shown absolutely no wear after all the years I've had it.The only nit I have is the 6 credit card slots that run horizontally are a bit tight--I'm guessing they'll stretch out over time. The vertical credit card slots fit perfectly.Overall, I am very, very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it.

I purchased this clutch approximately a year ago. I have owned many Lodis products in the past and have loved them all and have used them till they absolutely fell apart. I think they look so beautiful and the leather quality is very good. I've never had a problem with any wallets in the past but this one hasn't functioned as well as the others. The problem is that the snap closure simply doesn't hold the wallet closed. I know it's unreasonable to overstuff a wallet and expect it to stay closed, that isn't the case here. The snap closure of this wallet is not strong enough to secure closed all the stuff this wallet was designed to hold(I don't have a checkbook inside). Additionally I think the placement of the snap is wrong. The result is this tri fold wallet is always open in my purse or backpack. When open this wallet is pretty big so pulling it out is hard, it constantly is catching on the insides of the purse every which way. Putting it back in the purse is difficult too, leaving me fumbling with it every time I need to pay for something. Every other part of this product has functioned well, no complaints, but the failure of this snap closure has caused the whole wallet to be clumsy to use. That's my experience for what it's worth.

This is my third Lodis wallet and I still use all three. Lodis has exceptionally well made products that are worth every penny both in function and style. This is their traditional checkbook wallet, but they offer so many other unique styles and colors. I am always very pleased with anything Lodis.
